However, Fact Crescendo’s findings show that an old image of destroyed Brazilian A-29 Super Tucano aircraft has been falsely shared as Pakistani forced shot down Afghan aircraft over Paktia.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by applying Google reverse image search on the image of destroyed aircraft being shared among social media users. The reverse image search led us to an article published by AEROFLAP on 13 September 2021 and the similar image was shared along with the news that An Embraer A-29A Super Tucano aircraft from the Brazilian Air Force crashed this Monday morning (13) in an uninhabited area near Campo Grande Air Base (BACG), in Mato Grosso do Sul.
Conclusion
Hence, from the above investigation, it is clear that an old image of destroyed Brazilian A-29 Super Tucano aircraft has been falsely shared as Pakistani forced shot down Afghan aircraft over Paktia.
