It was uploaded by Rory Challands (The account bio states he is a news correspondent for Al Jazeera English and ITV News) on 8 September 2022, shortly after the announcement of the Queen\u2019s death. <\/strong>The caption of the post states, \u201cFlag at Buckingham Palace just lowered to half staff\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Twitter link<\/a>| Archive link<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Queen Elizabeth, who was the longest-reigning monarch in British history, had passed away on 8 September 2022.Several news reports published<\/a> at that time indicate that the flag was hoisted at half-mast after the Queen’s death.
