A report published by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/offbeat\/viral-video-sons-wedding-dance-with-mother-who-cant-walk-warms-hearts-2998389\">NDTV<\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>on 22 May 2022 carried screenshots from the viral video. The article stated that the woman seen in the video is Kathy Poirier, who lost the ability to walk after she got diagnosed with ALS.
