We began our search with a keyword and reverse image on Google, and we found that the widely circulated video was the work of Regina José Galindo, a performance artist titled "Piedra" to draw attention to the suffering of Latin American women. The Pissing on Patriarchy- Urine as a Feminist Symbol in Contemporary Art.
In further search we found a longer version of the video which was posted on Vimeo on 6 December, 2016. The video was uploaded with the title, “Performance PIEDRA de REGINA JOSE GALINDO.”
The video was a work of a Guatemalan performance artist Regina Jose Galindo. According to the Hemispheric Institute, which connects artists, scholars, and activists from across the Americas, the video was recorded on January 17, 2013 at the institute’s 8th Annual Encuentro in São Paulo, Brazil.
