A series of earthquakes hit central Turkey and Northern and western Syria on 6 February 2023 leaving 45000 people dead and thousands more affected.
However misleading contents such as unrelated images and videos are being shared in context to the recent earthquakes.
Recently an Image of an injured kid is being shared on social media with context to the recent quakes.

However, Fact Crescendo’s findings show that the image is being incorrectly associated with the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
Fact check:
We did a Google reverse image search on the shared image to find out the truth behind the Twitter claim. While investigating we found that the injured child whose image is being shared, is not a victim of earthquakes in Turkey.
From Google reverse image search we found the images of the same boy on a website named Getty Images. The website published an image of the kid on 24 August 2012. According to the website the injured kid was a victim of Syrian civil war and was injured in an attack by Syrian regime on Aleppo city in 2012.
If we look at the image closely, we can see another caption written as ‘Last words of 3 years old Syrian Boy Said dying, “I’m going to tell God everything.”

Conclusion
From the above investigation, it is clear that an old and unrelated image of an injured being shared with context to the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The kid was injured in an attack by Syrian regime forces on the Syrian city of Aleppo.
