<strong>Old and unrelated image shared as Suicide attack in North Waziristan. </strong>
North Waziristan is a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan bordering neighboring Afghanistan. There are constant tensions going on between Taliban and Pakistan's Armed Forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along the border.
Recently there have been a series of Clashes between Pakistani soldiers and Taliban along the border areas. However, a lot of misinformation is also being spread on social media amid on-going tensions.
Recently an old and unrelated Image is being shared on social media with the claims of a recent suicide attack in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

According to the tweet, "Suicide attack on Security Forces at Thal Bridge in North Waziristan-No militant group has yet claimed responsibility; Similarly Dec14/2022 suicide attack in Miranshah was also not claimed by any militant group. As usual one militant group in North Waziristan doesn't claim attacks."
However, Fact Crescendo's findings show that an old and unrelated image is being shared on social media with Misleading claims.
Fact check
We applied Google reverse image search on the shared image in order to grind out the truth behind the social media claims and the shared image. By applying Google reverse image search, we found that the image, which is being shared on twitter claimed to be of recent suicide blasts in North Waziristan, is actually old.
The similar image was published by a website named Arab News on 15 October 2020. According to the published article, the image shows a paramilitary vehicle which was attacked by militants in Omara , near Pakistan's Gwadar port on 15 October 2020. The article also mentioned that a militant group named Balochistan Liberation Front had taken the responsibility of the attack.

From the above investigation, it is clear that an unrelated image has been shared on social media with misleading claims; the shared image is not from any recent suicide blast in North Waziristan of Pakistan.
