Is this a recent video of an Israeli soldier disclosing reality about the ongoing crisis in Palestine? Know the truth. 

Currently, a video of a person shouting and complaining to some authorities is going viral on social media. Users are claiming that this person is an Israeli soldier who is disclosing about the crisis in Palestine during the ongoing Israel-Palestine war.

However, Fact Crescendo found that the video was shared without proper context. This is an old video from 2015 in which an Israeli soldier can be seen complaining about lack of medical treatment provided to him.

One user wrote that this is a video of an Israeli soldier who is disclosing everything about the ongoing crisis in Palestine where many children died due to Israeli bombardment.

Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image search on a key frame led us to the same video uploaded on YouTube in 2015. According to the information, the man in the video was an Israeli soldier (IDF) Ido Gal Razon. In the video, he was complaining about his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) medical issue and murdering people in Gaza to the Israeli apartheid parliament. Below you can see the video.

In another video, we could see the clear transcription of what he said. He was saying, “I would like to demonstrate facts different from what you publish. I am a Golani fighter in the 51st Battalion. My name is Ido Gal Razon. I changed the name after the army because of incidents there. I was injured during the Clear as Wine operation. The enemy attacked our house with a suicide bomber, 4 RPG teams and 6 terrorists throwing grenade at us. Our whole building collapsed and we were injured and I took my team to the tank under fire. After all this, you did not file an injury report for me. Where is my community and who is my casualty officer? Who was supposed to take me to the shell shock unit? You used me for battle fighting alone. You abandoned me. I was the Golani brigade commander. Why didn’t you treat me? I killed for you with these hands. I killed more than 40 people for you. It has been 9 years and I haven’t received even 1% for medical treatment. Does my mother need to pay everything for me? My mother paid the hospital bills for my Gaza injury and you sued her. After that I was out of Golani and sent to Mazi and I told them everything. They told you got injured at Golani. So why are you here? They sent me to another unit. No one took responsibility and no one gave me therapy. I am suffering from post trauma. The people I killed comes to me and ask why i killed them”

According to a report published in 2015, this is a video of an Israeli soldier criticizing the state’s negligence to help him to recover from PTSD. This video first appeared on 28 November 2015 and the name of the Israeli soldier is Ido Gal Razon.

According to a report published on The Electronic Intifada on 1 December 2015, Ido Gal Razon was addressing a committee of the Israeli Parliament. He was not expressing his remorse in killing the Palestinians. He was complaining that he was not offered treatment for the severe psychiatric impact that was caused due to the killings he did for Israel.

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be out of proper context. This is an old video of an Israeli soldier complaining about the negligence by the country in providing necessary medical treatment to him after a war. He was not disclosing the crisis in Palestine during the ongoing war.
