However, the Fact Crescendo Findings show that the social media claim is false and baseless. The video is from April 2023, when a civilian was arrested by the Excise Police in Mardan for attempting to smuggle 60 kilograms of hashish while wearing a fake military uniform. The footage does not depict any recent incident involving the arrest of a Pakistani Army officer by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.

Fact Check:

To verify the claims circulating on social media, particularly on Facebook, alleging that a Pakistani Air Force major named Ebang was arrested with drugs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we first searched for credible media reports to determine whether any such incident had been reported. No reliable or verified news outlet has reported an incident matching this claim involving the Pakistan Air Force.

To further investigate, the circulated video clip was broken down into shorter segments, and Google Reverse Image Search was applied to these keyframes. Search on the image shared by social media users. The results showed that the image is not related to any recent blast or arrest incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This analysis helped trace the video to older, unrelated content that predates the current claims circulating online.
