Since August 24, 2023, a multitude of social media users have circulated a video purportedly depicting a moment involving Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussing the fate of Yevgeny Prigozhin. In the video, Volodymyr Zelenskyy receives a call from Ukraine’s intelligence service, originating from the Kremlin. During the call, an intelligence service agent informs him, “Mr. President, it seems Prigozhin was encouraged to take a 1000-meter leap from an aircraft without a parachute; he met his demise.” This piece of news prompts an exclamation of “Oh F**k!” from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who then proceeds to declare that Ukrainians had been anticipating this outcome.

Our investigation regarding this video show that this clip is a part of Servant of the People series.
Based on a keyword search on Google we found that the clip is actually a part of a TV series called Servant of The People. In this series, Volodymyr Zelenskyy acted as Vasily Petrovych Goloborodko, the president of Ukraine and the story is about a teacher who crusades against corruption and ends up running for the presidency of Ukraine. This series was made in three seasons from 2015 to 2019.
The clip, which is shared as the call of intelligence service agent to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is from the 19th episode of the first season of the series.
The Servant of the People YouTube channel uploaded the episode 19 of this series on October 26, 2022. The scene in which Volodymyr Zelenskyy talk on the phone is at 7 minutes and 21 seconds.
In this scene the main character Vasily Petrovych Goloborodko received a phone call from Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany at the time. In this funny scene, Merkel informs Goloborodko that Ukraine has become a member of the European Union (EU). Goloborodko’s happiness knows no bounds as he celebrates only to find out that the German chancellor actually intended to call Montenegro but accidentally called Ukraine.
